Utah Family Photography {Mora}

It was great to meet the Mora’s in Mendon, yesterday.  Even though this isn’t the entire extended family, those that could make it, did a great job!  They didn’t want to pose for a group photo being they were missing family members and didn’t want to look back at the pictures and see the holes. So, we made sure to get the separate family groups and some with the grandparents and kids.

Wood Camp {B+B} | Logan Utah

Location search…

A spontaneous photo session with a Wood Camp couple.  I was out on a search for an upcoming photo session, when I noticed a cute couple on the trail playing frisbee.  What better way to check out the lighting, in a few places, than having this couple stand in for me, right?  I asked, they agreed… it was a win/win!

With lots of giggles and a little awkwardness having a camera pointed at them, they humored my posing requests.  They admitted to having fun and said they would think twice as to what they wore next time they ventured out for a frisbee date(I think they pulled off the coordinating photo attire just fine).

Thanks again, B and B.

Cub River, Idaho | photography session location

ISO: Awesome photography session locations.

Years ago, when we were a family of four(now seven), we used to go camping every other weekend.  With so many of us, now, it is hard to get out of the house in a timely manner, I can’t hardly imagine “camping” being much worth the effort.  Some day we will return to the wilderness.

About seven years ago, we visited Cub River a few times.  It was the perfect spot for camping, hiking, and an afternoon picnic with friends.  I had forgotten about this lovely mountain side location, until recently.  I’ve been thinking of unique beautiful locations to take clients to to capture beautiful images of them.  Brad and I loaded up the kids, yesterday evening, and drove up to Idaho.  It’s only about 45 mins to this location(Willow Flats) from Smithfield, and filled with great potential.  Luckily I have a cute supportive family who doesn’t mind sitting in on my practice shots.

If you’re looking for relaxed outdoor adventure, check out Cub River, next time.

Good friends with their sweet old dog, Sequoia.  16 years old, they’re not sure how much more time she’ll be here with them.

Melanie wanted to get this photo shoot in while she was still here to love on.
